Hey guys!

My school has officially declared the summer dress code which means lots of shorts and flip flops!! So I thought I’d bring out some of my favourite summery pieces to show you guys!

IMG_1090

I absolutely adore this skirt because of the two layers. The inner lining is a gorgeous navy colour and the white flowers on the outer layer just pop so much and it’s just so pretty! I wore this outfit to meet my boyfriend so I paired it with heeled boots to give myself a bit of height (he’s just under 6’0 and I’m under 5’4 hahahha) IMG_1095

Top: Brandy Melville (similar)

Skirt: Korea

Boots: Timberland (similar)IMG_1202

The one thing I hate about exam time is that I can’t go anywhere? So I had to take these next two outfits in my room (lame, I know! promise they’ll be nicer when exams end!)IMG_1218

I paired the short dress with nude heels to elongate my legs, and a cute nude bag! What I love about this bag is that it can be cross body or you can remove the straps and use it as a clutch (I used it for prom hehe) IMG_1212

IMG_1220

Dress: Topshop (the link is being a bit funky you can try this if that doesn’t work)

Heels: Vince Camuto

Bag: Tory Burch (this was the closest I could find to the bag!)

IMG_1252

I have no idea what I was doing in this photo I look like a duck!!! But anyways, I’ve had this dress for a while and I paired it with flats for a more casual look (don’t tell me I can’t wear different shades of blue when people wear denim on denim!!)IMG_1262

The back of the dress is absolutely gorgeous too! I might actually like it more than the front haha. IMG_1254Dress: Topshop (out of stock, try here)

Shoes: Toms

I hope you liked my outfits! I’m moving out after the summer and need to get rid of my clothes so if anything I wear catches your eye, head over to my depop to buy my clothes!

Have a good weekend!

Hi guys!

So as you know, my A levels started this week (well I retook a paper so it’s technically AS but still!) and I’ve been trying to keep myself from looking sloppy without putting in loads of effort!

This is my guide to surviving exam periods without having to use ‘homeless chic’ as an excuse for your clothing choices. (I actually shower every morning, but a lot of these options work if you don’t anyways).

1. Dressing up your sweatpants

As tempted as I am to just head out in sweatpants and the ratty old tshirt I wore to bed, I know I’ll be uncomfortable looking so sloppy. One trick I’ve found when I absolutely REFUSE to take off my pajamas is to layer well. Instead of wearing a hoodie with your t-shirt, throw on a nice sweater, which is equally warm, and looks a lot less like you jumped out of bed and walked out the door. This way, you get to keep your pajamas on, and no one will ever know!

You can even add accessories to make yourself look more put together (statement necklaces are a great & effortless way to look like you planned your outfit!)

2. Finding comfortable alternatives

I actually only own 1 pair of sweatpants (pathetic, I know). Although I could wear them like 3 days in a row and insist they’re different when other people ask, it’s a lot easier to switch things up! For example, replacing sweat pants with a pair of culottes! You can still wear a random sweatshirt, but you immediately look more put together, as culottes still look a tad more dressy than your 2 day old sweatpants. This is my favourite trick because I can just lay out my culottes the night before and pull them on after my morning shower, saving lots of time.

Besides culottes, you could also try leather joggers, printed trousers or even a tshirt dress!

This seems similar to the first point, but it isn’t really. The first is more of an emergency ‘this is a bad day i don’t want to get dressed’, while this is a lot more planned. For example, if you know you’re going to be staying up to study and won’t be bothered to choose something nice in the morning, BUT you’re going to have lunch with a friend/see a cute guy or something, this is the tip for you. Plan to wear a dress, or a skirt. Since wearing stockings to bed is highly unadvisable, wear leggings to bed with your pajama top, and in the morning, wear your outfit over it, with the leggings replacing your stockings!

(I am so awkward in photos oh gosh)

Anyways these are just a couple of things I do so that I don’t have to stress about my clothes during exams! I feel very insecure when I’m dressed super sloppy so this helps me a lot! Let me know what tips you guys have for quick yet non-sloppy looking outfits!

Thanks for reading!

Hi guys!

So as promised, here is my post on my school’s prom, which happened on saturday!

I went to town to get my hair done, and I was super pleased with the results! if you are my snapchat friend (my snapchat u/n is justnic11) you would’ve seen the crazy process of getting my hair to this stage! But I was super pleased with the end result!IMG_0648

I did my own make up so I was pretty pleased with myself for getting my winged eyeliner right.

My dress had a removable lace panel, but I chose to leave it on to protect my modesty (lmao). I love how classic the dress is, meaning I can wear it a couple of times (hey, just remove the lace panel and it’s a whole new dress right?). I think most importantly, it makes me feel really good it in, so I had a really great time despite it being far too long!IMG_0917

Plus a picture of my friends! (they all look great, don’t you think?)IMG_0671

Our school’s theme for prom was ancient greek, so we had these gold curtains and pillars (not in the photo). IMG_0762

The school also hired people to do a photobooth for us! It was super cute and fun and they printed a copy of the photos for each of us! IMG_0931

Afterwards, we had our usual event disco, which means we had an external dj blasting music and a dance floor, with candy floss, ice cream, a chocolate fountain and popcorn at the sides of the hall! My dress was super long so I changed into a short dress for the disco! IMG_0802

How was your weekend? 🙂 let me know in the comments below!

hi lovelies!

so my school has this tradition of a ‘dress-up’ week, with daily themes, and although none of these are really fashionable or anything, I thought I’d share them with you!

Day 1: Past and FutureProcessed with VSCOcam with c1 preset

For the first day I decided to go as a native american/red indian (or something along those lines haha) I even woke up and did face paint! My friend Amy (in the picture with me) made me the cute headband to go with my outfit, and I made the spear from a broom stick and cardboard!

Outfit: Ebay (can’t seem to find the link!)

Day 2: Fictional Character Processed with VSCOcam with c1 preset

My friend Megan and I decided we would go as cheerios from glee! (another friend was supposed to be Sue but we couldn’t get the outfit in time)

Outfit: Ebay
Shoes: Adidas

Day 3: Colours and ShapesIMG_0450

In all honestly, wednesdays are half days so we all weren’t really bothered with this one. But my friends decided we would all wear shades of grey and be ’50 shades of grey’ (don’t ask me why, I don’t even know) so I wore all the grey I could find!

Top: Monki

Jeans: Cheap Monday

Shoes: Nike

Day 4: Geeks and GangstersIMG_0491

My facial expression was really strange because I developed an eye infection on wednesday and was really suffering on thursday!

Beanie: Primark

Top: Criminal Damage

Tattoo Sleeve: Ebay

Fingerless gloves: borrowed

Jeans: Cheap Monday

Jacket: boyfriend’s (topman)

Boots: Dr Martens

Day 5: Cross Dress Processed with VSCOcam with c1 presetIMG_0531

Today was the last day of dress up week, and it was absolutely hilarious! All the guys were stumbling around in heels, and we discovered some boys were so much prettier/had nicer figures than us!

Shirt: Uniqlo

Shorts: H&M

Shoes: Adidas

Let me know which day you thought was the best 🙂

I’ll be posting again on Sunday or Monday about my prom tomorrow, stay tuned! (by the way, I’m selling my costumes from the first two days, so head over to my depop to check it out!)

Have a great weekend 🙂

hey there!

It’s dress up week this week (prom on saturday!!), so I’ll probably lump all my outfits together in one post on friday, and then do another one on saturday just for my gorgeous prom dress!! I’m so excited! But for now, here are just some accessories (bags and shoes are counted!!) I’ve been wanting really badly (and will probably succumb to temptation and buy within the next week or two).

My first 4 items are all from Lyla Loves because when I see something I like on a website, I end up looking through it and finding more and more hahaha sigh. (plus even their logo thingum on their website is super gorgeous!)

1. Silver Weather Earrings £5

Screen Shot 2015-05-12 at 08.08.55 pm

My friends and I have this secret code which revolves around the weather, which instantly attracted me to this! Moreover, I have 4 piercings, so these 4 would look super cute together!

2. Silver Multi Layer Semi Precious Necklace £5

Screen Shot 2015-05-12 at 08.13.15 pm

I don’t really wear necklaces unless they’re extremely layered, or statement pieces! And I feel like this dainty piece is super feminine but is sure to add character to any outfit.

3. Multicoloured Statement Necklace £10

Screen Shot 2015-05-12 at 08.17.02 pm

As I was saying, layered or statement. and now this wish list has both! I have a lot of really chunky, badass-looking statement pieces, but this one is so dainty and pretty, making a bold statement without being over the top! I absolutely love this piece!

4. Brown Studded Bowling Bag £10

Screen Shot 2015-05-12 at 08.19.53 pm

To be honest, studs are my weakness. If I see something with studs on it, I want it. Therefore, I want this. Enough said. Okay but seriously, the contrast of the pattern and the studs makes this bag so nice and such a change from the bags I have! Being brown, it’ll also probably be super easy to pair with things! Just describing it to you makes me want to stop writing this post and buy it right now!

5. Chanel Espadrilles (too expensive)

Okay so this is the only non-LylaLoves item, and I think it’s something that is going to stay on my wishlist forever (because how am I ever going to afford them???) I’ve seen people in school wearing these and they are so gorgeous and I REALLY want them. Like ‘I-will-starve-for-10-weeks-to-buy-these’ kind of want. (speaking of which, I’m so glad the Lyla Loves items are SO AFFORDABLE??? like I literally think I have enough for some of the items in coins! which means I can buy them without needing to starve/feel guilty for a year)

So writing this post has convinced me to buy 4/5 of the items on my wish list, and I’m probably going to get them this weekend!

Let me know what your favourite item from my wish list was!

Till next time 🙂
