Hey there!

Its been an exciting few days for me because I randomly decided on Friday that I wanted to do something new to my hair. So I did a quick google search and booked an appointment at House of Rush (they had a 50% off deal for new customers and I couldn’t resist haha).

They called me almost immediately after my appointment and made sure they had everything ready for my appointment the next day, which was great.

When I arrived on Saturday (late because of the rain), I was introduced to my stylist (Mark, who is absolutely lovely) and we immediately got to it. I naturally have really dark asian hair, but 3 months ago I dyed my hair a lighter brown colour, which made the bleaching process slightly easier, although I still had to leave the bleach on for quite a bit!

Obviously rocking the tin foil look HAHA. One thing I loved about House of Rush is that they have really good customer service and they also give you coffee/tea/biscuits, which was great because I was at the salon for close to 5 hours!

After leaving the bleach on for quite a while (we left it under the heat for like 45 mins and reapplied bleach twice), we were ready for the colour! Mark first applied a pink-ish colour to my hair and left it for about 20 minutes before adding a darker purple colour (although it’s pretty hard to see in pictures).

I was really pleased with the end product! It wasn’t a super in-your-face effect, so it looked kind of natural and the different shades look really great in different lighting!

After all the bleaching and dying, my hair was pretty damaged so I also got a hair treatment done, and now my hair is happy and doesn’t feel as straw-ish as it did the last time I bleached my hair!

I was also really glad that Mark gave me the rest of the bottle of purple dye so that I could touch up the colour myself when it starts to fade (saving me another expensive trip to the salon!)

I’m really pleased with my hair (but also really excited to be able to mess around with different hair dyes again once this fades!)

How was your weekend? Let me know what you think about my hair!

Have a good week! 🙂

Hi guys!

So I woke up to an exciting collaboration with Aisle Style! It’s currently engagement season (well at least amongst people I know), which means there are going to be lots of weddings!

Weddings are my favourite thing in the word (mostly because I love wedding dresses), so I’m psyched to be able to share a few pretty dresses with you guys! I know I’m obviously way too young to get married, but Aisle Style also has an extensive range of bridesmaids, evening and event dresses!

But first, the star of the show – wedding dresses. Since I was 7 years old, I’ve been planning my wedding dress (I’ve currently got like 20 dream dresses), and Aisle Style has so many gorgeous dresses that match my wishlist!)

This gorgeous Strapless Sweetheart Lace Bodice Dress is something I didn’t even know I wanted, but now I’ve found it, it’s at the top of my list.

I’ve wanted to be a mermaid since I was 3, and that’s translated into my love for mermaid tail dresses. This Mermaid Lace Wedding Dress with Chapel Train looks a lot like my prom dress, and I absolutely adore the backless detail & the train!

I got kind of carried away with the wedding dresses (I was going to blog about 20 of them I swear), but I thought I’d share a couple of other evening/bridesmaid/prom dresses I saw that I can actually wear in the next few years.

I spend a lot of my free time googling prom dresses (pathetic, I know) and this Charming A-line Strapless Floor-length Satin Prom Dress is one I really like. I’m in love with the detail and the colour (but if you’re not a turquoise girl, this dress is made in lots of different colours!)

I’ve already been asked to be the bridesmaid/flower girl at a couple of weddings over the next year so researching my own dresses is not a bad thing. I love this Strapless Sweetheart Light Blue Tulle Bridesmaid Dress and I’m already drafting a ‘please can I wear this to your wedding’ email just so I can buy it!

Let me know which of these was your favourite and check out Aisle Style for all their gorgeous dresses!

Happy Wednesday 🙂

I’ve also been eating lots (duh) and busting my student budget because I’m self catered but I’m such a picky eater.

IMG_7704 I’ve also watched Kinky Boots and Matilda, both of which were really really good! (I’m hoping to catch miss saigon next week).IMG_7771

I’m really excited about school (for the first time lol), hopefully everything works out well! I haven’t found someone to help me take photos of my outfits (and spare you guys the awful mirror photos), but once I do I’ll hopefully get this up and running again.

Have a good weekend 🙂
